King hopes Kuin will be accorded varsity status

KUALA KETIL: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah has expressed his desire to see Kolej Universiti Insaniah (Kuin) accorded university status by next year.

Tuanku Abdul Halim, who is also Chancellor of the university college, said it was his hope that the Kedah government, under the leadership of Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah, could realise the setting up of the first Islamic university in the state.
