GEORGE TOWN: Batu Uban assemblyman Dr T. Jayabalan has lost in the suit filed against him by the owner of a Mercedes-Benz which was damaged in an accident while being driven by one of his assistants.
Magistrate Aziana Azib ordered Dr Jayabalan of PKR to pay RM10,000 to T. Saroja Devi, 57, in special damages with 5% in yearly interest from the date the lawsuit was filed in March last year to the date of realisation and RM1,200 in costs.
