Asean to tackle Zika together


PUTRAJAYA: As the threat of Zika intensifies in South-East Asia, Asean countries have pledged to increase cooperation and share information to combat the outbreak in the region.

Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam said all 10 member countries endorsed a joint statement on Zika, which was issued after a 90-minute video conferencing between him and his Asean counterparts.
