ACTOR Remy Ishak’s handphone has been seized by the police in a probe into an alleged threat against him by a female member of a royal family, reported Kosmo!
Police also confiscated the handphone of the female royal’s private bodyguard to help in the investigation into the threat, which was allegedly made on Aug 29.
A source revealed that the bodyguard had been arrested the day after the incident at the district police headquarters in Petaling Jaya, but was released on police bail after giving his statement.
The source also said that both handphones had since been handed over to the police’s digital forensics unit to be analysed.
It is understood that Remy, whose real name is Mohammad Zalimei Ishak, had recorded the death threat on his handphone.
The 34-year-old heartthrob – famous for his role in dramas Anak Halal and Nur Kasih – had earlier claimed that he was threatened because he refused to meet the woman over a business deal.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zani Che Din confirmed that statements had been recorded from several witnesses.
> Metro Ahad reported that a factory worker in Malacca nearly lost three fingers after his hand was caught in a meat grinder.
However, M. Viman managed to quickly turn off the grinder when he realised that his hand was being dragged into the machine during the incident at a food processing plant in Taman Teknologi Cheng on Saturday.
Jalan Kubu Fire and Rescue Department operations commander Norazmer Othman said they were called in at 4.57pm.
“The victim could have suffered severe injury if he had not stopped the machine,” said Norazmer, adding that it took his men eight minutes to safely free Viman’s hand.
