‘Pribumi not likely to pose a threat to Barisan’

PETALING JAYA: Due to the fragmented nature of the Opposition, the new Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Pribumi) does not pose an immediate threat to Barisan Nasional, according to a research firm BMI Research.

The firm, a subsidiary of Fitch Ratings, said the bumiputra party was expected to struggle to differentiate itself from other opposition parties such as PAS, Amanah and PKR despite being helmed by high-profile leaders.
