MTUC lauds government move against employers of illegals

PETALING JAYA: A controversial move by the Immigration Department to freeze the assets and bank accounts of employers who hire illegal foreign workers has been applauded by the MTUC.

Its secretary-general N. Gopal Kishnam said it was only with such actions that the issue of illegal migrants and the hiring of illegal foreign workers could be curbed.
