JOHOR BARU: A Batu Pahat Puteri Umno committee member died after the car she was driving crashed into an electric power pole near Batu Pahat during heavy rain.
Sharifah Nadiah Syed Omar, 34, died on the spot at Jalan Johor Baru-Melaka in front of the Tanjung Laboh Jamek Mosque at about 7am yesterday, said Batu Pahat Police chief ACP Abdul Wahib Musa.
