Rio Paralympics: Najib, Liow hail historic double gold medal win


PETALING JAYA: Today is a historic day due to the double gold medal win by Mohd Ridzuan Mohd Puzi  and Muhammad Ziyad Zolkefli at the 2016 Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.   

"Today is an extremely historic day for Malaysia. Negaraku was played loudly for the first time in Rio. We brought back not one, but two gold medals from Ridzuan Puzi and Ziyad, who also set a world record. The entire nation is proud of both of you and your achievements in the Paralympics," said Najib in a Facebook post on Sunday.
