Brothers feud over marriage

A 25-YEAR-OLD man from Butterworth was attacked by his younger brother as the latter allegedly started meddling in his marriage which led to a divorce, Oriental Daily reported.

The victim suffered broken hands after he was attacked by his younger brother, 23, at a temple in Berapit New Village at about 2am on Wednesday.

Both brothers agreed to meet at the temple after the younger brother accused the victim of meddling in his marriage which caused his wife to divorce him.

The younger brother allegedly attacked the victim who went to his mother’s house and scolded her.

The victim rushed to the house trying to stop the younger brother, where he was allegedly attacked again.

Seberang Prai Tengah police chief Asst Comm Nik Ros Azhan Nik Abdul Hamid said police were looking for the younger brother.
