Woman loses gold dental crowns, earrings and ASB book

SARIKEI: A senior citizen was robbed of her Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB) investment book, a pair of gold earrings and two gold dental crowns in an incident last Monday.

In her police report, Mawas Etam, 70, from Bayong, Ulu Sarikei, said an unknown woman approached her that day asking to borrow her ASB book, and when she refused, she was pushed into a Red Proton Saga car, with a man at the wheel, and was driven around Sarikei town.

While in the car, Mawas claimed that she was ordered to remove her gold earrings and gold dental crowns, before she was driven to an isolated area near the Nyelong bridge and left there.

Sarikei district police chief DSP Mat Jusoh Muhammad, when contacted today, confirmed the incident.

He urged those with information on the incident to contact Inspector Sawandi Brahim at 084-652222 to assist investigation. - Bernama
