Bank's top guns charged

KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Rakyat managing director Datuk Mustafha Abd Razak and the bank’s chairman, Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Zainal, were charged in the Sessions Court here with criminal breach of trust and abetment respectively, involving nearly RM15mil. The case is connected to a RM15mil coffee-table book about a prominent political figure.

Abdul Aziz, 65, who was entrusted with the allocation of group marketing expenses totalling RM14,991,283.20, was charged with abetting Mustafha in committing CBT at the Bank Rakyat Twin Towers in Jalan Travers here on March 11.
