14 years’ jail for pasar malam trader who had hand-grenade

BATU PAHAT: A pasar malam trader who admitted having a hand-grenade was sentenced to 14 years imprisonment and six strokes of the rotan by the Sessions Court here.

Clad in orange lock-up attire, Md Saifuddin Muji, 28, pleaded guilty before judge Mohammad Khalid Abd Karim Thursday to possessing an M67 model hand-grenade at 108 Kampung Parit Gantung in Seri Merlong, Rengit, near here, on Aug 11.
