KUALA LUMPUR: More politicians have spoken out against the calls for Langkawi’s giant eagle replica to be demolished for being “unIslamic”.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department in charge of national unity Tan Sri Joseph Kurup was amused at the brouhaha following Perak deputy mufti Zamri Hashim’s decree that Islam forbade full-bodied statues of living creatures, saying that he didn’t see an issue with the eagle.
