Penang rewards Rio Olympics medallists

GEORGE TOWN: The state government gave out RM275,000 to three badminton players who won silver medals in the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Datuk Lee Chong Wei pocketed RM150,000 for winning the silver medal in the men’s singles while the mixed doubles pair of Chan Peng Soon and Goh Liu Ying received RM100,000 and RM25,000 each for their efforts.
