PONTIAN: Marine police crippled an attempt to smuggle 1,000 cartons of illicit cigarettes worth RM95,130 into the country at Sungai Sanglang near here.
Southern Region Two Marine Police Asst Comm Paul Khiu Khon Chiang said the discovery was made at around 4.50pm on Friday following a tip-off.
