Pensioner RM130,000 poorer after 'double your money' scam


JOHOR BARU: A pensioner lost RM130,000 to an Indonesian shaman after being conned at a hotel in Taman Daya, here.

Johor Baru South OCPD Asst Comm Sulaiman Salleh said the suspect, known as Pak Edi, in his 50s, told the 61-year-old victim and her husband last week that he had a magic trick that could double whatever amount they gave him.
