MMEA rescues three after fishing boat capsizes

The rescued fishermen comprised two Malaysians and a 19-year-old Thai national.

YAN: Three fishermen cheated death after their boat capsized during a storm about six nautical miles west of Pulau Bunting here.

"Two local fishermen aged 55 and 61 and a Thai national aged 19 were found at 10am Wednesday floating in the sea by the Penggalang 35 vessel which was on patrol duty nearby," said Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) Kuala Kedah maritime base director Leftenan Commander Maritime Ahmad Kamal Mohd Noor.
