Get familiar with IT laws, legal fraternity urged

KOTA TINGGI: The legal fraternity has been advised to familiarise itself with Information and Technology (IT) laws in view of the creation of a Special Cyber Court by Sept 1 this year, says Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said.

She said judges and prosecuting officers from the Sessions and ma­gistrate’s courts would have to undergo training before they were allowed to sit in the Cyber Court.
