Sabah eyes more dogs in canine unit to combat illegal poachers


KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Forestry Department is beefing up its fledgling canine unit to fight illegal sandalwood harvesters and poachers in forest reserves around the state.

At present there are just four dogs in the unit but they had proven to be effective, said department director Datuk Sam Mannan.
