Pandikar Amin discharged from hospital

KUALA LUMPUR: Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia, who was admitted to the Serdang Hospital on Thursday, was discharged Saturday.

Pandikar Amin underwent a minor heart surgery at the hospital after being diagnosed with a heart infection on Wednesday.

“Alhamdulillah (Thank God), with the prayers and treatment given, I was able to be discharged from the hospital today.

“I would like to express my gratitude to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak who visited me at the hospital on August 11 despite his busy schedule,” he said in a statement.

Pandikar Amin also thanked the people who had prayed for his recovery and the Serdang Hospital employees involved in his care.

“Thank you, especially to the administration led by the Hospital director Dr Rohana Johan and heart specialist Dr Kahar Abdul Gafar, Dr Kamaraj Selvaraj and Dr Sri Ranga Mohana Rao and everyone involved in my care while in the hospital,” he said. - Bernama
