KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court has struck out a defamation suit by Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom on grounds that the alleged attack was on him as a minister and not his personal capacity.
National Oversight and Whistleblowers (NOW) director Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir Akmal Nasrullah had applied to strike out the suit on the grounds that the minister in the Prime Minister’s Department had no legal right to sue him in his official capacity.
