ALOR SETAR: A Form Two student has died from leptospirosis (rat urine disease), supposedly contracted during an outing to the Bukit Wang waterfall recreational park in Jitra.
Muhd Ilyas Mahadzir, 14, of SMK Kubor Panjang, Pendang, was rushed to the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital after he ran into breathing difficulties and coughed blood on Wednesday but died at 5.45am the next day.
