BUTTERWORTH: Several banners bearing the words “P. Ramasamy our next CM” were spotted in various locations here on Saturday.

The banners, which were seen in Prai, Taman Indrawasih, Taman Chai Leng, Permatang Pauh and Seberang Jaya among others, are believed to have been put up early in the morning.

Ramasamy, who is Prai assemblyman, is currently Penang Deputy Chief Minister II.

Batu Kawan DAP secretary M. Satees, who is also the Seberang Prai Municipal Councillor, claimed that the banners were meant to cause tension among party members.

“This is the work of saboteurs and our party members have removed them.

“This is being done to create tension within the party,” he said when contacted.
