Trio’s invention wins third place at China expo

JOHOR BARU: The high number of dengue cases in the state inspired a group of Year Five pupils to invent a mosquito repellent, which won them third place at an exhibition held in China.

M. Laxman, J. Kaviraj and S. Abirrami from SJK(T) Jalan Yahya Awal were among 122 teams from all around the world that took part in this year’s International Exhibi­tion for Young Inventors held from July 16 to 18.
