BALIK PULAU: Heavy rains of up to 80mm per hour, a high tide and an undersized culvert are said to have caused the flash floods in Kampung Teluk Awak, Kampung Nelayan and Jalan Hassan Abas in Teluk Bahang here.
Teluk Bahang assemblyman Datuk Shah Headan Ayoob Hussain Shah said that heavy rainfall of 80mm per hour was recorded between 1pm and 2pm on Monday.
