PETALING JAYA: The situation in Turkey has begun to return to normal after the failed military coup to overthrow the country’s president Tayyip Erdogan, said Wisma Putra.

“We wished to confirm that the situation in Turkey has almost normalised, though the situation is still fluid since the reported attempted coup that took place on Friday night,” it said in a statement on Sunday.
