Tech giant’s new strategic manufacturing plant to provide hundreds of skilled jobs

PETALING JAYA: Hewlett Packard’s (HP) hi-tech manufacturing facility in Penang will provide over 900 highly-skilled jobs for Malaysians by the year 2020, says Second Minister of International Trade and Industry Datuk Seri Ong Ka Chuan.

The RM780mil investment by HP for the facility showed the company’s “strong vote of confidence” in the country as a hub for value-added manufacturing, said Ong yesterday.
