Govt monitoring varsities for IS ideology

PUTRAJAYA: The authorities are keeping a close watch on local universities where the Islamic State (IS) influence may be strong, said the Deputy Prime Minister.

Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (pic) said such monitoring of universities was not being done only in Malaysia – governments abroad were doing the same at their universities there.
