THE winner of 2016 Bintang Popular Berita Harian Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor, better known as Neelofa (pic), has denied that she is no longer interested in acting, Berita Harian reported.

She said she had not been able to take up acting offers for some time due to her busy schedule.

The last time she was seen on screen was last year in the drama series Wan Embong. The report stated that Neelofa could make a return after Hari Raya.

On her Raya plans, the artiste-cum-businesswoman said there was no need to hold a Hari Raya open house as visitors usually dropped by at anytime.

This Raya, she is looking forward to holding a make-up class with relatives at home by bringing in a make-up artist named Kasih Cicie. “Its just for fun,” she added.

She said she would also be posting videos of her festive daily routines for fans via her personal online channel, NeelofaTV on YouTube.

Neelofa is also progressing well with her motivational book, The Chic Codes, which will be published first in Singapore before hitting the streets here.

> A woman involved with community policing was injured as she tried to protect a robber from being brutally beaten, reported Kosmo!

The incident happened as a group of residents rounded up the robber in Taman Nesa in Skudai, Johor, on Monday.

S. Kogilavani, 36, the Nesa Skudai Community Policing chairman, bravely stepped up to shield the robber, aged 25. In doing so, she sustained a minor cut on her left leg.

Kogilavani said the public should not take the law into their own hands, adding that the robber should have been handed to the police.

The robber had broken into a house with two others and attacked an old woman, who was with her daughter.

Police are looking for two of the gang members who managed to get away.
