KUALA LUMPUR: Terror threats in Malaysia are real, especially in light of recent videos released by the Islamic State which encourages lone wolves to carry out attacks on home ground, said International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) lecturer and terrorism researcher Dr Maszlee Malik.
“When you talk about lone wolf attacks, it gets tricky. The police are very good at tracking organised groups but when it is a lone wolf attack, they really have to do their homework,” he said.
