Quick police action foils ATM heist at petrol station


SUBANG JAYA: A high-speed chase between police and a group of thieves ended with one shot being fired and the arrest of a man who attempted to break into an automated-teller machine (ATM) in a petrol station here.

Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohammad Azlin Sadari said in the 4.53am incident Monday, five men in three vehicles - two in a van, two in a lorry and one on a motorcycle - had attempted to break into the ATM by ramming the lorry into the wall of the petrol station.
