KUALA LUMPUR: The Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) is looking to level the playing field between taxis and e-hailing apps by amending existing laws.

SPAD chairman Tan Sri Syed Hamid Albar said it was planning to submit a proposal to the Cabinet to provide it with the authority to regulate transport-based app services such as GrabCar and Uber.
