PETALING JAYA: The appointment of the two women judges to the Selangor Syariah High Court is a “positive and welcomed” development, says Datuk Noor Farida Ariffin.

Noor Farida, a member of the group of eminent Malays known as G25, said the appointment of Noor Huda Roslan and Nenney Shuhaidah Shamsuddin along with another seven women judges for the Lower Court showed that the Selangor state government was committed to upholding the Islamic principles of justice and equality between genders.
