Maritime officer denies bribery charge


BUTTERWORTH: A maritime officer was charged with taking a RM400 bribe from a fisherman last year.

Ridzuan Che Leh, 46, a petty officer with Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) District 2 allegedly took the bribe from Mustaffa Hamat, 47, so as not to act against fisherman Azmi Osman, 34, for illegally collecting mussels.
