Raya at last for fishermen’s father

Together again: Rahman hugging Mohammad Suria while Ahmad Nadzhan gets a hug from mother Ruhaizah Sanusi while his father Mohd Nadzri Hamidon looks on at the reunion.

PONTIAN: It will be a blessed Hari Raya – and a first in four years – for retired fisherman Rahman Yusof’s family after his two sons were released by Indonesian authorities for allegedly entering their borders while fishing at sea last month.

His sons Mohd Salleh, 32, and Mohammad Suria, 21, were fishing in a boat along with Ahmad Nazhan Mohd Nadrzi, 21, as well as Mohammad Sani Mohd Soad, 37, and Norul Azhar Mohd Nor, 40, when they were caught by Indonesian marine police at about 10.45pm on May 5.
