Umno trio snub PTC invite


GEORGE TOWN: Three elected representatives of Barisan Nasional appointed to the Penang Transport Council (PTC) were not present at their inauguration ceremony.

Opposition Leader and Teluk Air Tawar assemblyman Datuk Jahara Hamid, Teluk Bahang assemblyman Datuk Shah Headan Ayoob Hussain Shah and Bayan Lepas assemblyman Nordin Ahmad said in a joint statement that they received an invitation letter to the inauguration as members of the PTC at the ceremony scheduled yesterday.
