Kuala Kangsar polls: Izat Bukhary slammed over ‘women can’t lead’ statement

KUALA KANGSAR: PAS’ candidate for the by-election, Dr Najihatussalehah Ahmad, has slammed independent candidate Izat Bukhary Ismail Bukhary over his statement that according to the Hadith women are not allowed to lead.

Speaking to reporters after observing the early voting process at Dewan Tun Salleh at the Kuala Kangsar police puarters, Dr Najihatussalehah said Izat Bukhary’s views were narrow minded. She also used Prophet Muhammad’s wife Siti Aishah as an example to illustrate her point.
