GEORGE TOWN: Two taxi drivers, detained for their alleged fracas with some ride-sharing car drivers, were freed when the magistrate’s court here turned down the police application for a four-day remand order.

S. Gobinathan, 36, and Shafeeq Mohamed Rafique, 30, were released at about 3.30pm to the cheers of some 70 colleagues who had gathered at the courthouse in Lebuh Light since morning to show support.
