KOTA KINABALU: A suspected robber managed to escape after his car fell into a ravine during a high-speed car chase by police in Kota Belud district.

The suspect, who was spotted inside a red four-wheel-drive vehicle on a hill at Kg Mandap, some 70km from here at about 7.45am on Saturday, was said to have sped off when he saw a police patrol vehicle approaching.
