Johor's Sultan Ibrahim discharged from hospital

PETALING JAYA: Johor's Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar (pic) was discharged from the Sultan Aminah hospital Monday morning.

"The Sultan had been admitted to the Royal Ward on Friday evening for a viral infection and gastritis. He has since recovered well and is expected to resume his full royal schedule soon.

"The ruler gave thanks for all the prayers and good wishes offered for his recovery," according to a post on Sultan Ibrahim's Facebook page.

Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Mohamed Khaled Nordin said he had been to the hospital to visit the Sultan.

"I visited him on Friday after being informed of his condition. He is in stable condition.

"The hot weather may have affected him while visiting Bazaar Ramadan," he told reporters after a visit to Kampung Kuala Masai, here Sunday.
