NGO: We were only told about a ‘suspected offender’

PETALING JAYA: The non-governmental organisation contacted by Britain’s National Crime Agency (NCA) for a “safeguarding” programme in the wake of paedophile Richard Huckle’s abuse said it was only told that there was “a suspected travelling offender in Malaysia”.

“They told us that and gave us only his name and the areas in which we could go in and work with the communities,” said Protect and Save the Children (P.S. The Children) interim executive director Mariza Abdulkadir.
