GEORGE TOWN: Two statues of deities at a Hindu temple in Seberang Perai were smashed by vandals.
The damage was discovered on Wednesday at the Muthu Mariamman Temple, when a priest, who came to conduct the evening pooja (prayers), found the statues of Lord Muruga and Amman removed from their pedestals and smashed on the ground.
