DPM in Japan to discuss KL-Singapore high-speed rail project


TOKYO: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi met his counterpart Taro Aso and several ministers to discuss Japan’s possible participation in the high-speed rail project linking Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

Dr Ahmad Zahid, who is on a five-day working visit to Japan from Sunday, described the meeting yesterday as highly structured with the Japanese showing their readiness to offer a reciprocal package for Malaysia.
