POOR management of water retention ponds by local authorities has been cited for the loss of 90% of rainwater runoff collected in the ponds, says Natural Resources and Environment Deputy Minister Datuk Hamim Samuri.
The issue over the lack of supervision of the ponds was raised during the National Water Resource Council meetings.
