Two cousins to hang for man’s murder in 2011

Hanging on to appeal: Veeran (blue shirt) and Sasitharan (white shirt) being led out of the High Court in George Town.

GEORGE TOWN: Two cousins were sentenced to death by a High Court here for murdering a man about five years ago.

In his judgment, Judicial Commissioner Datuk Nordin Hassan ruled that the defence had failed to raise a reasonable doubt to the prosecution’s case against shop assistant V. Veeran, 34, and unemployed M.S. Sasitharan, 25.
