PETALING JAYA: The use of unregistered traditional products is likely to make up two-thirds of the health complaints received by the National Pharmaceutical Control Bureau, according to the Health Ministry.
Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said it was a big concern as various problems such as liver failure and skin diseases had been identified as being caused by the use of such products, be they in the form of traditional medicine or health supplements.
