Murum dam

KUCHING: The extra costs incurred in the building of Murum hydroelectric dam, which came under some criticism in the Auditor-General's Report, had been planned for and were expected, said Sarawak Energy Bhd (SEB).

"With regards to suggestions of 'additional costs', the nature of hydropower development is that there will always be some cost that cannot be accurately priced at the beginning of the project construction," SEB said in a press release issued on Friday, two days after the AG's report was released.
