PAS’ insistence to contest by-elections may be a ruse, claims Dr Mahathir

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad

PETALING JAYA: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad (pic) expressed his concern that PAS’ bid to take on Barisan Nasional one-on-one in the Kuala Kangsar and Sungai Besar by-elections may be a ruse to help Barisan win.

The former prime minister said that the Islamist party’s insistence to contest in the two elections would mean people would have to support the party if they wanted to have a chance at beating Barisan.
