PUTRAJAYA: The Home Ministry has reminded building owners that they, too, can be punished if tenants of their properties hire illegal workers.
Its deputy minister Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamad said under the Section 55 (e) of the Immigration Act 1959/1963 states that building owners are also liable to legal action for the offence, not just those who hire them.
