Apply to be declared a non-Muslim first, caterer told

PUTRAJAYA: The Federal Court has told a man claiming to be a Hindu to make an application to declare he is non-Muslim before asking the National Registration Department (NRD) to change the name and remove “Islam” on his MyKad.

Justice Tun Arifin Zakaria said Mohd Sharif Abdullah, 36, should have taken that route before bringing the matter to the Federal Court.
